There are few bands exciting us more than psychedelic shoegaze specialists, Wyldest. The North London trio have wowed us time and time again with ‘Wanders’, ‘Stalking Moon’ and most recently ‘The Poet’, a woozy, 80s-influenced ballad with swirling guitars, 80s-inspired beats and a stonking chorus. To celebrate the official release, Wyldest have just dropped the video, which is a colour-drenched, trippy portrayal of a young woman finding herself amidst the chaos of city life. As the track grows in intensity, so does the video, whose quick cuts, trippy colouring and double-vision effects give an affecting portrayal of self-acceptance.
